Systems construction is over 90 per cent complete, the Council reported to itself in August 2026, with work focused on the Kenilworth LRT Tunnel - tunnel systems houses powered up, tunnel lighting and electrical installed, emergency ventilation jet fan installation and lift station pump installation ongoing, fire suppression systems installed. Systems integration testing, led by the systems contractor, is active between Target Field and Bryn Mawr stations, with overhead contact system dead and live wire testing, signal system testing and grade crossing warning system testing under way. Once systems integration testing is complete the system is turned over to Metro Transit for further testing and training before revenue operations begin in 2027.
