Civil construction is nearing completion: the Council reported in August 2026 that the remaining work is final submittals, the punch list and contract closeout, that the Hopkins Rail Support Facility is 97 per cent complete, and that Kenilworth Corridor planting, begun in May 2026, is 50 per cent complete and will finish in 2027. All of the LRT track is in place and all 16 stations are under construction or nearly complete. Through July 2026, 5,698 people had worked on the project, 4,606 of them Minnesota residents, and disadvantaged business enterprise participation on construction contracts stood at 22 per cent against a project goal of 15 per cent.
