In execution. The Board authorised the two-year contract by Resolution 25-07-42 in July 2025; the notice of intent to award went to all proposers in July 2025. Only the base items were authorised to stay within the project's approved budget - Type 3 light rail vehicles and WES commuter rail vehicles, plus some optional special tools and test equipment - and TriMet states that further budget and board authorisation to complete the Type 4 and Type 5 light rail vehicles will be requested at a later time. TriMet's FY2027 budget lists completing CCTV replacement on Type 3 light rail vehicles as a Safety and Security deliverable under project PRJ_1130.
