The Federal Transit Administration's Capital Investment Grants dashboard of September 2026 records the project with TriMet as sponsor, 0.7 miles and two stations, entry into Project Development in December 2024, a CIG funding request still to be determined, non-CIG matching funds in progress and an estimated grant date of mid 2028; the NEPA completion column is blank. Portland Streetcar's own planning page says the extension and the rebuilding of NW 23rd Avenue could be under construction by 2029. No solicitation for it was open on any portal read for this file.
