It is also the licensing authority for railway undertakings under the amended law of 6 June 2019, the network statement giving its Département des transports as the address for licence information. The projects it lists as under way or planned are the Nordstad 2035 mobility concept, the Dippach-Gare and Hesperange-Alzingen bypasses, Eurocap-Rail, the tram network extensions, the new Luxembourg–Bettembourg railway line and the Ettelbruck station rebuild. Public transport has been free of charge nationwide, on every mode, since 1 March 2020, first class on trains excepted.
