Delivery is under way but no contract is cited on this record. MTA names the contract - T-8000-1415, under which it says it is retiring 100 railcars and systemwide train control - in the Board of Public Works agenda of April 2024, but no award for it appears in any Board agenda from 2014 to 2026 and MTA publishes neither its holder nor its value. MTA records that Metro train control and vehicle replacement, ongoing overhauls and repairs and communications-based train control installation are under way, that nine new Metro cars were conditionally accepted and entered service in FY2026, and that commissioning is under way for additional cars.
