Contract-award notice 129900-2024 of March 2024 records an award value with SIA "NORDES BŪVE" and SIA "Baltic Construction Company (BCC)" as winners; contract-modification notice 120836-2026 of February 2026 carries a BT-720 figure against an unchanged BT-161 figure, and two earlier modification notices of December 2024 and July 2025 carry the award figure unchanged. LDz reports that 38 percent of the works were complete at the end of 2025 and that the renewed and modernised contact line has been placed into temporary operation on the Rīga–Jelgava and Rīga–Aizkraukle lines, with the project scheduled to complete in 2026.
