Complete: the line opened in May 2022 and is in revenue service. Not financially closed: Valley Metro's 2026 Transit Life Cycle Program update lists Tempe Streetcar among the remaining Proposition 400 projects with a 2022 open year and records that it is in revenue service but still has outstanding costs, and states that cost projections have been adjusted for the Tempe Streetcar and South Central Extension concurrent non-project activities. The Valley Metro Rail FY27 capital budget carries no funding for it, a reduction of 100 per cent from the FY26 budget.
