A capital budget, not an award. The Valley Metro Rail FY27–FY31 capital program carries state of good repair spend, part of it in FY27, a reduction of 11 per cent against FY26. Valley Metro's chief financial officer told the board in May 2026 that as the original system and the older extensions age, the cost of maintaining them and some of the midlife overhauls and refurbishments are beginning to pick up and are driving the state of good repair budget. No contract is cited on this line, individual packages are let separately.
