Departments: Public Works, Electrical and Mechanical Services, Road Transport, Civil Aviation and Postal Services. Authorities, Boards and Committees: three licensing authorities — the Air Transport Licensing Authority, the Licensing Authority and the Licensing Renew Authority, of which only the first is aviation on its face — the Cyprus Ports Authority, the Cyprus Aircraft Accident Incident Investigation Board, the Marine Accident and Incident Investigation Service and the Council for the Registration of Building and Civil Engineering Contractors. There is no rail department, rail regulator or national railway safety authority, because no EU instrument yet requires Cyprus to have one.
