About this buyer

In its own words, AŽP performs the tasks of the safety body, the certification body, the assessment body, the licensing body and the inspection and misdemeanour body. It issues and supervises rail carrier licences and single safety certificates, the infrastructure manager's safety authorisation, authorisations to place vehicles and vehicle types on the market and to register them, train driver licences and the authorisations of driver training and examination centres and assessors, certificates for entities in charge of maintenance, and authorisations to bring fixed installations into operation; it keeps the national vehicle and driver registers and cooperates with the European Union Agency for Railways. It is the gate every new supplier of vehicles, signalling or fixed installations has to pass before anything it sells can be brought into use in Slovenia.
