On August 2026 VPRA recorded that since the bridge jump spans were completed in June the contractor has been excavating and installing helical anchors to hold back the walls, that the WMATA fence relocation at King Street Station is complete, enlarging the laydown area for bridge assembly and for stormwater facilities for the Alexandria Fourth Track project, and that coordination continues on fibre utility relocations.
