The Commonwealth Transportation Board's FINAL FY2027 Rail and Public Transportation Six-Year Improvement Program allocates $976,714,365 to DRPT in FY27 and $5,609,358,028 over FY27-FY32, of which the DRPT rail allocation is $25,420,158 in FY27 and $68,095,705 over six years, split between the Rail Preservation Fund and the Commonwealth Rail Fund's FREIGHT Program and rail planning. The same programme carries the Transforming Rail in Virginia allocation to VPRA at $1,759,958,889 and the WMATA allocation at $1,557,031,016 plus $927,000,000 of dedicated funds over six years. DRPT is the corridor sponsor for both of Virginia's Federal Railroad Administration Corridor ID corridors, the Commonwealth Corridor and the Washington, DC to Bristol, VA Corridor.
