The port authority for Rijeka, the Adriatic end of the Mediterranean corridor and of the Croatian RH2 corridor. Its Rijeka Gateway programme, launched by the Croatian government with the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development on a guarantee agreement of 12 July 2003, has a published port-component total for phases I and II of EUR 187 million, of which EUR 144 million is World Bank loan and EUR 43 million the Croatian budget share; the programme includes the Zagreb Deep Sea and Jadranska vrata container terminals. The rail side of that access — the Brajdica multimodal platform, Rijeka Brajdica station, the headshunt and the widening of the Brajdica rail tunnel for a second track — was procured by HŽ Infrastruktura, not by the port authority.
