Coordinates bus and vanpool service across the Piedmont Triad (Greensboro, High Point, Winston-Salem) through five operating partners — Greensboro Transit Agency, High Point Transit System, Winston-Salem Transit Authority, Link Transit and Davidson County Transportation. At its founding in 1997 the General Assembly appropriated $750,000 for two rail corridor studies in the Triad, administered by the newly created Regional Transportation Authority (now PART) — PART's own history page is the record of that rail mandate. PART operates no rail service today; the live Piedmont Triad commuter rail study is led by NCDOT, not PART.
