Successful proponents are expected to be announced in 2027, after which the selected teams enter an alliance development phase before Metrolinx decides whether to accept final proposals confirming cost, design and schedule; Infrastructure Ontario's June 2026 Market Update expects the alliance development agreement in January to March 2027 and the project alliance agreement in January to March 2029
